UHT Torque Motors More torque. Less installation space.

UHT stands for Ultra High Torque – a motor generation consistently designed for maximum torque density and minimal space requirements.

Unlike conventional permanent-magnet synchronous motors, UHT torque motors do not need to reach high speeds. Their electromagnetic design is specifically optimized for demanding swivel and positioning movements with high torque. Unnecessary speed reserves are deliberately omitted – in favor of a significantly more compact design.

The motor hardware is reduced to the functional minimum. This frees up valuable installation space inside the axis – for example for standard axial-radial combination bearings, measuring systems or media feed-throughs.

Despite their extremely compact dimensions, UHT motors achieve – depending on frame size and design – around 30 to 35 percent higher torque than conventionally designed permanent-magnet synchronous motors of comparable size.

The result is a highly integrated drive solution for compact swivel axes: maximum torque with minimal installation space.

UHT Series · Thermal Design

Engineered for Stable Temperatures

Torque density is ultimately limited by heat – which is why the thermal behaviour of every UHT frame size is analysed as carefully as its electromagnetic design.

The thermal simulation shows where losses occur and how heat travels from the winding through the lamination stack into the surrounding structure. Because the UHT design minimizes losses at the source – high copper fill factor, optimized lamination geometry, no unnecessary speed reserves – less heat is generated in the first place.

The result is a stable temperature level under continuous load: the usable continuous torque stays high, and neighbouring precision components such as bearings and measuring systems remain within their specified range.

UHT / ALL-ROUNDER

Ultra High Torque

The all-rounder of the family: maximum torque density in the most compact envelope – the first choice for compact swivel axes where every millimetre counts.

HT / HIGH TORQUE

Maximum Force

The RMHT variants push torque to the limit – up to 13,010 Nm peak torque (RMHT-565). Built for heavy swivel axes and rotary tables where force matters more than speed.

HS / HIGH SPEED

Maximum Dynamics

The RMHS variants are wound for speed – up to 1,300 rpm (RMHS-240) with all frameless direct-drive benefits intact. For dynamic positioning and milling applications.
