They are used almost throughout the capital goods industry in the field of lifting and conveying, for detachable connections, for tightening and locking. Due to the high forces with integrated safety function, they simplify complex application configurations while reducing functional elements to an absolute minimum. This offers reliable function and lowest susceptibility to interference. They work on the principle of form-locking in the final position, optionally in the extended or retracted piston rod end positions. The special series CYLOCK PT has a tolerance locking system that allows for compensating for elasticities during the manufacturing process from stroke to stroke.

PV series cylinder form locking

CyLock PT
Pneumatic cylinder with positive locking tolerance is a type of cylinder that activates positive locking shortly before reaching the end position.
This tolerance range can be up to 1mm. During this process, unintentional retraction of the cylinder is impossible. Once the end position is reached, the cylinder will automatically move up. This type of cylinder is particularly suitable for applications in the packaging industry where different thicknesses of foil need to be compensated. They are also ideal clamping devices for coarsely tolerated components. The CyLock PT series offers additional advantages and features for this cylinder.
